Is it unreasonable?

I just HATE the receptionist asking why i want to see the doctor. She's not medically trained.
 
Maybe i should give it a try next time, my gripe with receptionists when ringing for appointments is, is it urgent? or what's the problem? to which my answer tends to be, unless you're medically trained and are able to advise me, i fail to see the benefit in disclosing my medical worries to you!

How uncanny, ive just posted a very siilar reply to yours. its not just my surgery after all.
 
I cured them of that. I get verbose at them and watch them sit and blink.

You can see the eyes glaze over well before the first sentence ends. Mostly now they see me coming and write 'patient will explain' in that box. My GP thinks it's funny (she doesn't really approve of her patients having to announce their conditions to the whole waiting room).
