Is it unreasonable?

I just HATE the receptionist asking why i want to see the doctor. She's not medically trained.

My view was exactly the opposite. When I book on line I can see the appointment is registered and correct, over the phone I don't know what the receptionist has entered. But the main reason I prefer on-line is because of the silly dialogue with the receptionist which goes something like... "I would like an appointment with Dr X first thing in the morning" "How about Thursday at 9?" " I can't do this Thursday", "How about the following Tuesday at 3pm" "No, it needs to be in the morning" and so on. On-line I just look at all the slots available and choose the best one.
Maybe i should give it a try next time, my gripe with receptionists when ringing for appointments is, is it urgent? or what's the problem? to which my answer tends to be, unless you're medically trained and are able to advise me, i fail to see the benefit in disclosing my medical worries to you!

A previous Glutamic Acid Decarboxylase Autoantibodies test has been positive, however, it's possible the immune system response has been delayed, or even halted, by the...

You can see the eyes glaze over well before the first sentence ends. Mostly now they see me coming and write 'patient will explain' in that box. My GP thinks it's funny (she doesn't really approve of her patients having to announce their conditions to the whole waiting room).
