Something to do with the thyroid requiring carbs to produce the necessary hormones, so in a badly functioning thyroid low-carbing would be detrimental. But like I say, I don't know what to think as other links say quite the opposite. Although from what others seem to be saying, as long as you don't go too low it might be ok.</blockquote>
