I do not have diabetes
I am a 50 y.o. male. My two parents do not have diabetes. My eldest sister had type 2 diabetes.

I recently had a fasting test done and the measurement was 5.2 mmol/L.
I know this is not diabees, but because I have diabetes in my family I am just thinking that this level of blood sugar may be going towards pre-diabetes.
I am 1m62 for 65 kg, and I exercice regularly.

What do you think please and thanks for your responses.

Buy yourself a meter - codefree on Amazon for instance and check your bg when you get up, before meals and an hour (possibly two) after meals. That way you will start to know what your body is doing. It's the only way to know.

:)

That sounds a pretty decent reading to me with nothing to worry about, but why did you have a fasting test done?

My GP asked for a few blood tests and I requested that the BG be included. Just to see how my BG was doing.

This is a decent fasting result.

If you're worried, ask your gp for hba1c test - it checks average bg over last 1-3 months.
If that's normal and with your fasting on that level, I think you don't have to worry :)
