Hey guys

I'm not diagnosed diabetic but I've noticed that I feel shaky every now and then and i cant go without eating for long.

I bought a Libre 2 to monitored my blood sugars and tbh I don't know what normal looks like so can't tell how far off from normal I am.

Here is a typical day, (been using for 5 days), I eat sweets and crisp, beans and brown rice etc, I was just eating normally and results in the below.

Can you guys let me know your thoughts

Just to add, my actual blood glucose went down to 4.0 at the bottom of the dip.

Absolutely fine from what I can see.
See link for results from a normal non-diabetic population wearing a cgm.

Some of us try to keep our spikes below 7.8 but even normal folk seem to exceed this threshold for 30 mins a day.
You went a little bit hypo after after a high carb meal but soon recovered.
That sugar crash your feeling is all part of a high carb diet, your body overproduces insulin to cover these high level of carbs then you go low & feel shaky.
This causes you to repeat the carb hyper/hypo cycle, armed with your new knowledge you can now break this addictive cycle.

Good luck.

Hi @Jashx

I’d suggest that you speak to your doctor about your symptoms. We really can’t diagnose here.

Given what you say you’ve been eating, those numbers don’t look unusual at all. The ‘low’ looks like it could be a compression low during the night. The Libre is notorious for this if you sleep or roll on to the side where the sensor is placed. For that reason those with diabetes would always double check such a reading with a finger stick.

Thank you, shows its not as bad as I thought.

The last high was caused by sweets and then dinner immediately after (it was lots of brown rice (with bbq sauce and mayo and lots of fish).

When I hit 4.0 I didn't actually feel anything but noticed because the libre alerted me.

I actually had a sweet to bring it up a bit. I doubt it would have recovered so strong otherwise.

I will not be repeating the sweets and dinner mistake again.

Thank you, docs won't listen to me which Is why I have to do my own research and buy my own sensors etc, it's frustrating.

I think you are right regarding laying on my side, also whenever I have been hypo, it's not been hypo with blood glucose.
