When peripheral neuropathy first symptoms appear many body functions might be affected, in addition to anxiety induced by those unexpected scaring symptoms.

To me it happened in two onset stages :

- fisrst one in early 2019 when I experienced fatigue mild tingling and numbness in a foot, which was not painful but it created much stress since the cause was not identified. Then a huge fatigue and nauseous feeling installed.
Though having a metabolic syndrome and being very close to prediabetic (fasting blood level 5.9) diabetes was ruled out as a cause by my GP and a neurologist
I had appetite loss, lots of anxity and a drastic weight loss (-12%). This lasted for 5 months until I felt alright.

- second one since may 2022 with fatigue and painful peripheral neuropathy now in both feet. Being overweight I once again went through massive weight loss (-14%) probably induced by pain, fatigue, anxiety, sweats, etc. Diagnosed as prediabetic in July. Still suffering from painful sympyoms as I am writing this message and keeping some weight has become a struggle.

I was wondering if others had experienced such a massive weight loss with the onset of peripheral neuropathy.
