Is there an alternative to Byetta?

Have been taking Byetta for the last couple of years quite happily with my HBA1C usually around 6.1 - 6.5.

I've also in the last couple of years suffered from idiopathic anapylaxis and now my allergy clinic wants me taken off Byetta because it has been proven to cause allergic reactions and my body seems to be attracted to any allergic reaction going!

I'm now wondering what my diabetes clinic is going to suggest I take instead as my hba1c is near perfect for me with the medication, without taking the Byetta, its going to rise!!

I did wonder if they might let me stop taking it and see what happens to my HBA1C.

An suggestions greatfully received :D
