6.2 before bed and 12.8mmol at 5am. Is it the Dawn P? This is ongoing. I have perfect blood sugar results during the day. But Fasting is always between 9 and 13 mmol. My specialist will soon be providing me with a 24 hours blood sugar monitor. Any comments please?

Hi, I'm exactly the same so I put it down to D/P. My fbs readings at 7 am are always 7.5 upwards to 11. Yet in the day they are always in the 6's. I fast from 5pm to 7.30 am and it makes no difference. I was told that the morning reading is prob the highest one of the day. It's all very puzzling!!
Whenever I tested during the night, the result was always above 8 mmol. But I also noticed that if I go to sleep at about 11pm ( I usually go to sleep at around 9 pm or even before this) I would have a better Fasting result of about 7MMOL.

I'm not a medical person, but that's interesting about your better result from going to bed at 11pm. That might suggest there's more going on possibly. I notice you mentioned a 5am test - is that when you usually get up?
I have DP and I find my rise starts very roughly at around 4am. I'm on a pump so my basal gradually increases to control this rise. However, stresses like a change of routine can make me high eg up all night, very early start.

That is odd, by rights if your basal insulin is set at the right dose then your bg levels shouldn't fluctuate by more than 1.6mmol/l when fasting.
As Azure says try and test more frequent during the night to get a better picture of what is happening with your bg levels, the following offers a good explanation on basal testing in different time frames:
