I am not sure that the extremes of sugar levels can be explained in this particular example BUT the sudden loss of weight is, I am afraid, a very good indication that you may have Diabetes Type 2 because I lost nearly two stone in six months before diagnosis or change in lifestyle.

Hi there I would get yourself along to the doctors, only they will be able to diagnose you.Do you feel ill at these low levels? I have been diagnosed diabetic, first type 2 but they are now thinking it is LADA or MODY,as I dont fit the "average Type 2".I was having sugar as low as 2.7mmol (with no medication) but also as high as 16 - 17 mmol.Let us know how you get on x

I'm not sure whose idea it was for you to be checking your sugars all the time like this-who provided you with a meter?

I just had a look at your first post back in January and see that you have already been tested twice by docs but they can't seem to agree on whether you are diabetic or not? From the info you have given I would hazard a guess that you are not but as you know, the only way there can be a definite answer one way or another is to return to the doctors for another consultation.

I should imagine your parents will go along and support you especially as you have another health problem, I'm afraid we just can't diagnose you on here.

Good luck
