Sorry, I've not been here long but all I've done so far is moan and ask questions
.
I'm feeling really, really awful at the moment. I could just sit here and cry.
I've been ill for over 3 weeks with a chest infection and although I'm now on my second course of antibiotics, have an inhaler and have finally stopped coughing, I still feel like absolute ****. I've got no energy and I've got a pressured sort of underwater feeling in my head and ears. When I'm speaking with someone in a crowded room it's like they are in the distance and I struggle to hear.
Anyway, that's by the by but is it normal for illnesses to get to you this way when diabetic? I was diagnosed back at the beginning of December. I had sf and seasonal flu jabs mid-Dec and a pneumonia vaccination mid Jan and I swear I've not been right since. This is actually my second chest infection in 3 months. I look white as a sheet, am still have random bouts of diarroeah and sickness and feel really, really low.
When does it start to get better? I know that at my last reading the bg wasn't under control and they switched and increased my meds but honestly since I've been on all the tablets, have been extra careful with what I eat and taken up more exercise I've felt totally washed out. That can't be right can it?
How long did any of you find it took to feel well? I feel worse than before I was diagnosed.
