I have recently had all these spots come out on my back, I had them when I was first diagnosed, but I don't know if its part of my diabetes or if its just me. I'm always cleaning my back, so it can't be because i'm dirty, or because I eat junk, because I have a very healthy diet.

Can anyone help?

All I can say is that I do not suffer from spots and have had type 1 for nearly 15 years.
I have not read about spots being anything related to diabetes.

Have you changed anything like your shower gel or washing powder/liquid recently?
Or are you suffering from stress at the moment?

@helensaramay I haven't changed anything. I was just asking because I had these spots when I was first diagnosed. I am stressed, all the time. I suppose it doesn't help that I won't leave them alone. Got a doctor's appointment coming up in a few days so hopefully i'll get some help for it. Also, I am always cold, like constantly I don't know if I am getting ill, or if it is stress. I don't know anymore.

How is your weight at the moment? You might be cold because of lack of body fat if you are still struggling to gain weight.

No back spots here either. But my husband non-diabetic, always seems to have a spotty back. Ask the doc for advice.

Hope you are well otherwise.

Well I usually feel stressed, and often cold, especially in the extremities (toes, fingers, nose). I have very little body fat, so that's a factor for me. No spots, though.

@Diakat I am 7.5 stone still, I did gain some weight and now its just dropped off again in like 2 weeks. She checked my weight when I was there. My BMI states that its underweight for my height (5 ft 3). I don't know if that is true as my doctor didn't seem bothered by it.

The spots she was suppose to be giving me cream for but never bothered and with my anxiety I was too scared to say anything.

Oh sweetheart. I know you have said phones make you more anxious, could you drop a note in to the surgery or an email to say that she forgot the cream? Hope you are feeling a bit better.
