Is your child's hypoglycemia seasonal?

Spring time, better whether, more activity outside, child uses more energy, child more prone to lows as a result,
This was one of the points to note when our son was 1st diagnosed, a general point to note from our Diabetes Nurse

Just a thought, but I do have an open mind.

Jess has had quite a few hypos this month, many more than usual and seems to have lost some hypo awareness again. I'm not sure she's doing any much more exercise than usual though, perhaps at school they are getting outside more often but at home I'd say things are pretty much the same.

Hi, I have found too, that in particular my little boy has been running a little bit low at school. He isn't doing significantly more exercise than usual, and i was thinking it may be due to the slightly warmer weather. Leggott.

I think Khaleb gets so many colds and flus through Winter that he is always on a higher insulin dose and when he gets well when the weather is better an adjustment needs to be made. I have heard that children grow more in Spring than other seasons, also. We certainly get patches of hypo's and then get them rarely at other times.
