I took my BGL before tea, it read 5.6 so I decided to have a spoon of pasta and check for any spikes. 2 hours after eating my BGL was 5.6. I washed my hands and tested again, 4.7 this time! That wasn’t what I was expecting x

A spoon of pasta isn't that many carbs, and very likely your peak was well before the 2 hour mark as it is fairly fast acting. (depending on what else you had with it). However, yes, I agree, it is a confusing and mysterious condition!

I have just discovered you take insulin, so feel free to ignore my comment!

Hi @Elaine p , Pasta can have a really slow effect (as can pizza). It can be hours (/the next morning) before I know whether I got insulin:carb ratios right (or wrong). Sounds like you got yours right :)

I never looked at it in terms of getting it right, only that something must be wrong. Onwards and upwards with positive thinking is necessary I believe! Thanks for advice x
