Experiences with Libre sensors and iPhone
Some of you may already be aware of the story below, but others may not and I hope the info below may be helpful!
I had successfully used my iPhone 2020SE and Libre 2 sensors for over a year when I started to find intermittent difficulties with obtaining a reading and then eventually no reading at all. I contacted Abbott, and they were unable to give an immediate solution but did send me a couple of spare sensors and a reader. However, I really did not want to carry around both the phone and reader, and continued to seek a solution.
To cut a long story short the issue was with the Near Field Communication (NFC) chip/antennae in the phone. You can check this by trying to use Apple Pay which also uses NFC. If this does not work, highly likely your NFC system is defunct. Because the phone was not older than 2 years, I was able to get a replacement, and the sensors and phone (with most recent software installed) are now working perfectly together.
The issue with the NFC chip is known and there is a good thread on the apple site about this topic.
