Italian food seen by outside?? Eh??

Was reading something on ADA website and stumbled upon the "Italian meal plan"
I can assure you that these recipes aren't Italian
Meatball and spaghetti is an American idea.
Same thing for chicken with rice, here we could eat chicken with peppers or rice with sausage or even better rabbit with peppers. (Or if happens hare with peppers)

Don't know why some recipes are considered Italian. when I tried to make a cheesecake I followed the recipes found here and I suppose are quite English (I used ricotta instead of cream cheese because I haven't found it)

Rice with sausage Is really carb heavy but the other recipes are quite tasty and reduced-carb.
 
All your recipes except the rabbit are American because they use tomato. And the rabbit recipe is also typical Greek
And peaches are from China, and Kiwi fruits too.
What I was saying is that what is presented ad Italian recipes isn't normally eaten in Italy, I say normally because American food chiains are present in Italy too...
