BG is certainly really improved but ever since starting my skin around my belly, back, underarms and tops of thighs is really painful, slightly red and looks a bit like goosebumps. Wearing clothes is agony as is moving. Dr is baffled and initial query at diabetic clinic said it wasn't anything to do with insulin, but have been reading side effects of levemir, which include a rash. Anyone had experience with - should I be going back to clinic?

Hi Helojed
I was on lantus for years but changed to levemir about a year ago to try to improve my control. I developed a large red patch wherever I injected it. The patch wasnt itchy or painful but was very unsightly. I showed this to my doc on my last checkup and he changed me back to lantus and now the patches are fading away... this is approximately 4 months ago now.
I would say seeing your DSN maybe a good move
