soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
I posted a little while ago that I was asking the doctor to let me try Metformin SR. I'd been taking the ordinary one for 10 years with GOOD bg control, but my insides were becoming irritable. Anyway the insides are now settled and normal. BG readings pretty much the same as before: dependent on what I'm eating. Will have to wait until next Hb A1cto find if any potential spikes have been ironed out. I've not detected any with my own testing. Gp did say I'd notice more of them. I haven't.

Glad to hear it's worked for you although it's your good low carb diet that is keeping your levels so good I would say.

Hi Hanadr, Did the Dr explain why you might expect more spikes with the meformin SR? I would have thought the opposite to have been the case?

Yes, I would have thought the opposite, it's supposed to release slowly rather than in one big hit.
I know slow release gliclazide can be used to iron out hypos as it avoids the big hit. I got too worried about hypos overall though and asked to change from glic to metformin SR. It's not as good but just about keeps levels in the prediabetic area.
