I've been bad :(

This sounds like confession! Forgive me Father, but I have sinned (I'm not a Catholic!) Last night after a heavy day at work I had not 1, not 2 but 4 homemade cheese biscuits (not by me, but purchased at a farmers market). They were lovely and I knew when I was eating them that I was being bad. Now this morning I feel like a failure as I've been so good, well I think I have, over the past 2 months. My fasting bg this morning was 9, the range is normally around 7 - 8, now and again between 5 - 6 .

I'm pretty sure that I'm to be offered metformin and simvastatin after my blood test next week as I was told it was the dr's 'practice' to give them to patients who were diagnosed. I hate the thought of taking tablets for life  . But I work in a care home and see the results of strokes and folk who didn't take statins when given them, so I will have to take them. My husband doesn't help as he says to eat a healthy diet and exercise (apart from the biscuits last night I have been good) and that I'm being a hypercondriac worrying about my bg levels. My weight has gone from 10st 11lbs to 9st 7lbs in about 8 weeks. Exercise consists of walking, not at a gym. There is a new swimming pool being built here, so waiting with anticipation for that to open as there will be aquarobics on offer then. I HATE swimming lengths in the pool I find it very boring.

I think I'm just looking for someone to say 'yes you are doing fantastic' and a big bar of aero chocolate  . Instead I will have to make do with one square of 85% chocolate after my lunch, if I'm a good girl

Well done Beryl your doing great your weight loss is brilliant so far just keep up the good work and dont stress over an occasional biscuit, just dont make 4 biscuits a regular thing and you'll be fine

Everyone has a treat at some time or other and anyone who doesnt should get a life and stop being so serious

Well I too was naughty last night, I ate a piece of choc chunk brownie, was lurvely, and I have been so good for almost 4 mths. Sod it I enjoyed every mouthful was no way I was going to test after that tho.

Today is another day, well done on the weight loss and exercise routine Tandy

You fell off the wagon. So, get back on and whip up the horses! Get a little extra walking in today to make up for it or some other exercise and then forget it ever happened!
Well done for all your commitment and work so far!!!

Just about to head off to work, so walking the long way all of 20 mins, but up hill for part of it. Instead of the quick 10 min walk. Mixed fruit for my tea (working til 10pm) and plenty of water throughout the afternoon and evening. I work as a carer, so don't sit down much, so does that count as exercise too! But will have to be extra good and avoid the sandwiches on the supper trolley. :silent: thats not silent, its my mouth taped over

thanks for your support, I feel better already.
