I suspect you're right...

I know in the past that I wasn't too different from the people being described but as @Emmotha says it would be nice to see a responsible type 1 regularly testing and injecting etc to promote public awareness...generally speaking we are a bit of a minority group and a good diabetic role model would be great education for all and whether diabetic or not.

If I recall correctly there was a type 1 diabetic in Corrie a few years back...but fairly sure she came to a rather nasty end...can't remember why or how now though.

That's why I think a responsible type 1 character would be good

Not so far fetched really, I often enjoy a cake without injecting but I know how I work and can plan for such treats.
