Junior academy football trials

My 12 year old boy has had type 1 diabetes since January, he plays football for a successful local junior club and has been picked to go to trials by a premier league and a championship team
My question is does anyone know if football clubs deal with diabetes or will it hinder is chances, I don't want to bother taking him if it means rejection through his condition. Does anyone have any experience or know of anyone who has had similar experience?
