Hi I have just been diagnosed type 2 diabetes have been given a lot if information from the diabetic nurse & have to attend clinics beginning in October. I don't know what my results are but I don't need medication & don't have to test my blood levels but I will be monitored I'm going away on holiday on Saturday & asked the nurse about telling my travel insurance company & was told yes but it wouldn't cost me as it's being treated without medication today I called the travel company but because I took the policy out earlier this year they can't add it on. I was told I would have to cancel policy & take out a new one but wouldn't be charged the admin fee if not I'm not covered for diabetes I have no symptoms & had no problems so have decided not to renew the policy as I'm covered for everything else I have declared just not the diabetes think I will be fine but will declare it in future would ant one else do this?
