Hey @Hoodiegirl3Hi guys!
Trying my best to stay away from falling back into my mental health issues but my existential crisis will not leave. So my mind is used to spiralling and what I’m about to say is going to make most adults laugh but this girl’s gonna say it anyway…
So…
There is this boy…
Also diabetic…
A few 7 months older than me…
WE ARE ONLY FRIENDS
But he’s going into year eleven and I’m probably going to see a lot less of him and we share everything and in a few years time we will probably forget that the other existed and I don’t want that to happen cuz he’s literally the only person who keeps me from going insane (literally) and we occasionally share our medical stuff
And I know to most of you adults this sounds dumb and it sounds dumb to me too but it was nice to vent.
Now I’m going to click send or in this case create and regret that decision because why do you people even want to hear a teenager rant about a problem that is not even a problem?
Hey @Hoodiegirl3
I am not laughing, and I don’t think it sounds dumb, at all.
Your feelings are intense. You have found a friend who understands and supports you. You are probably supporting him, too. Being a teenager is tough! Feelings are intense, and change, frequently. Those of us who have replied, so far, have lived through that, and survived to tell the tale.
When I read your post, I immediately thought that you have the intelligence and maturity to understand the following piece about friendships. You are not ‘unhinged’, just anxious about life.
Reason, Season, And A Lifetime By Brian A. Drew Chalker
This beautifully written poem goes on to explain why people show up in our lives.motivateus.com
Not going to lie to you, your current friendship could be for life, but it is not a guarantee. Time will tell. Hope you can just enjoy the present, and not worry about the future.
Oh, and I think you have had some replies to your posts in here from people who will be friends for a reason, or maybe a season. I am truly delighted and grateful for your presence, and your input also reminds me that teenagers are wonderful, people. Thank you for trusting us with your insights on your life challenges.
Edit for typo. I probably missed a few more.
