Just checked online records ahead of review with nurse

Got my six monthly review with the diabetic nurse tomorrow.

So, thought I would login to the My Diabetes My Way website to see if the results were in from the blood tests.

Looks positive, HbA1c is down from 7.0% to 6.4%, so now shows up as being within the target zone rather than at a borderline level.

Cholesterol and Triglycerides are showing as being slightly up from my last review, although they are also both still within the target zone (which they were last time too)

Hopefully this means I will remain medication free and they will be happy to stick to six monthly reviews.

So, met with the nurse (six months ago she switched me to six monthly reviews).

Anyway, they are happy with blood sugars, blood pressure, cholesterol etc.

Still considered slightly overweight, although in the space of the year since diagnosis I have gone from 21st 6lbs, to approx 14st 10lbs.

Due to the way things are, she is happy to change me to annual reviews and still no medication.

Said that some would consider that I have managed to reverse my diabetes and it should indeed stay that way unless I go silly.

Pretty much delighted with that outcome!
