I worry more about the fad diet that is foisted on the innocent by the NHS!The difference is that tobacco Is proven to be harmful whereas you want to ban foods based on the fad diet that happens to be "in" right now and you believe in.
If you could prove that low carb cures all ills things would change very rapidly and you would probably get a Nobel price in medicine, but until such a time you have to stick to selling books to lay people who can't make an informed decision about your claims.
The accurate comparison isn't proving that low carb cures anything (let alone "all ills"), but if there was proof that high-carb processed food diets are harmful. I think we are at or near that point with the evidence. The difference is that tobacco Is proven to be harmful whereas you want to ban foods based on the fad diet that happens to be "in" right now and you believe in.

I can find no rational explanation why food and drinks manufacturers need to overload their products with sugar.
I've been thinking about this for a while. As I said above, there are a couple of obstacles to litigation, mainly that the food companies were in line with official government health policies. It's hard to sue the government. It's maybe even harder to prove that the food companies shaped the government policy (if they did). This will probably happen in the USA, but I wonder who will be brave enough (and when) to start the first class action against food companies for making them obese and diabetic?
Er, easy profit?
Low carb isn't a fad diet. It's a scientific approach to managing diabetes on the basis that a diabetic's body can't handle glucose properly and by reducing the amount consumed you can to some extent keep the diabetes under control. As others have said, how many posters have claimed they controlled their diabetes thru a high-carb diet and many, many posters have claimed success to at least some extent by low-carbingThe difference is that tobacco Is proven to be harmful whereas you want to ban foods based on the fad diet that happens to be "in" right now and you believe in.

I'm interested in knowing how you have managed to control your diabetes? Your don't mention your diabetes type or medication, if any, in your profile. The difference is that tobacco Is proven to be harmful whereas you want to ban foods based on the fad diet that happens to be "in" right now and you believe in.
