I hope you contacted Abbott after each failure as they should replace them.I use the freestyle libre intermittently and have tried to use them more often recently but 2 out of 3 have failed!
Thankyou so muchI hope you contacted Abbott after each failure as they should replace them.
As regards help with the T2, I'm not really the right person to comment, but I can sympathise with diabetic ups and downs in terms of control. Would it help you to join one of the long running bg or food threats just for moral support?
Sending some virtual hugs.
Hope you feel better soon, dont be too hard on yourself estrangement is an ambiguous loss that never ends. There are help groups out there Stand Alone is one of them, not saying they work but just talking helps sometimes. The stress of it all does not help blood sugars, I unfortunately understand all too well. We are a good bunch on here and although cannot give medical advice, moral support is in its bucket loads on here xxxThankyou so much
When I was a class teacher I found Year 6 would sweep anything dark out of my mind - a wonderful escape valve!Sorry to hear that you are struggling. My mental health is awful and on anti depressants. I can't blame my diabetes though it doesn't help. For me not being at home really helps. So I work as much as I can and as I work in a school it never ends. And I spend my weekends volunteering. Keeping my mind busy works and by this time of the day Im so knackered I go to bed. It might not be for everyone but for me it works. Sending you loads of love. Always here if you need to talk
That is so true. Today has been completely chaos. The highlight was an exploding ice pack on someone's face. ( not nice)And the lovely reception children always make me smile. So yes work keeps me soooo happy. XxWhen I was a class teacher I found Year 6 would sweep anything dark out of my mind - a wonderful escape valve!
Hba1c gone up from 50 to 55. I was diagnosed 10 years ago and have managed ok with low carb and 1500mg of Metformin. But been very stressed the last 10 months (our daughter became estranged from us) and have been travelling too much. I think my diet coke habit doesn't help with the occasional peanut spree. Also I'm not sure that the desserts I've had with artificial sweeteners really help.
I had an hba1c of 62 on diagnosis and so far I have mostly kept in the non diabetic range
Just really annoyed with myself and exhausted with it all. I use the freestyle libre intermittently and have tried to use them more often recently but 2 out of 3 have failed!
Just pretty depressed
Thankyou so much! It just happens that I have chronic fatigue syndrome but have recently got more energy for walking due to vitamin D3 and B12 supplements so will take your adviceHi
Very sorry to hear you are feeling grim.
I take anti depressants and well versed with feeling that way.
As a successfully controlled type 1 i have noticed a trend on type 2 type (lol) posts.
The posts seem to lean heavily on diet and low carbs and food.
Thats fine in itself but a huge part of my success is a combination or carbs insulin and walking.
Simple walking and the effect it has on my insulin is quite remarkable.
I average 18000 steps per day and using my CGM i can prove a good yomp helps and my last hba1c was 39.
I am suggesting politely the next time you get a libre concentrate on your levels whilst walking.
I say i suggest this is because we are all different and your body may not respond like mine.
Walking can also improve ones mood apparently and whilst it doesn't for me the good control i have on my levels makes me happy.
I wish you well
Tony

I mean it is difficult isn't it. It is a marathon not a sprint and I have controlled it successfully a lot of the time. I realised stress is actually my biggest enemy. Btw I already meditate and walk, just got terrible insulin resistanceI hear you…. I was diagnosed several years ago and was well controlled by diet and exercise but lately all I want to eat is carbs and sugar life is stressful at the moment and just feel down over the whole thing. Everyday I say to myself to just stop and get back on the straight and narrow and I end up eating stuff I shouldn’t and feel even worse

Failed Libre’s - I see this a lot on a Facebook book group, I’ve had a couple of failures. Contact Libre they should replace them. https://www.freestyle.abbott/uk-en/support/sensor-support-form.htmlHba1c gone up from 50 to 55.
