Newcommer. ive replied to one topic already, and yes i do have an incredible sense of humour. Om trying to put my miserable 12 months behind me and move on. Im sure most of my friends( who have been brill) dont really understand why im poorly alot and in and out if hospital alot. So id like to make more friends who actally understand more of where im coming from.Hope i get lots of replies but not more than 19 as now my toes off i struggle to count to 20 ha ha ha , dont mind emails either.

Hello and welcome to the forum, glad you are looking to the future, hopefully 2008 will be a better year for you. Plenty of info on the site and friendly people, take care junieliz

Welcome to the forum, I must say you are very, very brave, I think I would have gone to pieces if I was in your situation, but as you say you need to move on now, and look forward, are you type 1 or 2? Tell about your interests and hobbies and things, where do you live? I am sure you will make friends in here, you appear to be very easy going.

Love

Challenges can be stumbling blocks or stepping stones, it depends how you view them

I was going to write a terrible line about being glad you have put a toe in the water......but i have a terrible sense of humour, so please ignore that!

Welcome to the forum. It really sounds like you have had a tough time of it, and is good to see that you have the strength to still smile about it, it is always good to have someone with a good sense of humour on teh forum, as we write about some serious stuff. Diabetes isn't really a laughing matter I know, but as it is something that I have to live with all day, everyday, I try to take it seriously, and to the best I can, whiclst still having the best life possible. Whilst being diabetic I have gone to uni, got jobs, got married, had a baby...in fact, the only thing it has really stopped me doing is flying an plane and scuba diving...and I think that the scuba is possible, if difficult. I know, not the ost exciting life...no climbing Everest or becoming a movie star..but the latter is down to not being able to act, and not diabetes.
What are you looking forward to most in 2008? Have you set any challenges for teh year?
