Just been on my first holiday away since diagnosis of T2 about 5 months ago, in which time I have lost 3 stone and brought my HbA1c down from 98 to 47.
3 weeks into reduced dose of 500mg metformin one a day having been on one twice a day.
Thought as was on holiday would relax to a degree eating wise if blood sugars were low enough and allowed it, however when it came to it main meal wise generally still went for the best option diabetes wise. Got into good habits I suppose but still did have a couple of treats.

I am new to this so sorry if any of these questions seem silly, especially as with one exception all the results were in the acceptable ranges.
Basically I had the same breakfast everyday,(baked beans, mushrooms, fried egg, bacon, sausage, one slice toast cup of tea) yet got differing results afterwards ranging from dropping 0.3 to going up 1.8. I thought it would be roughly the same each day, or am I being naïve?
Also dropped overnight with one exception, this followed the evening meal where I had a sweet dessert so could this have been down to that?
One time I exceeded ranges(Friday 8.6) was when I had cheese and biscuits. However went for a walk afterwards and had loads more energy and could manage a really brisk walk even up some steep hills, whereas all week had found a lack of energy and could only walk slowly without getting worn out, is this usual?
Thanks in advance for any comments.
For info timing wise breakfast at 8am each day took post reading about 10.15
evening meal 6.30 start post reading taken about 9.15, 2 hours approx. after completing in both cases.
