Kale

I got as far as "Those taking anticoagulants shouldn't eat leafy green veg" and gave up reading it.

I was taking warfarin for 2 separate spells of 2 years each. I ate kale regularly and my warfarin dose was adjusted accordingly.

Pffft. :)

Thanks @carol43
Very entertaining

I trust Zoe Harcombe (if she has been quoted accurately)
And I have read elsewhere, when researching the pros and cons of Green Smoothies, that too much of any single green leafy veg is not great for you, whether that is kale, lettuce, cabbage or spinach.

The trick is to vary the diet.

Gosh, it is rocket science, isn't it?

Interesting that the article had to waffle ridiculously for 100s of words before someone actually gave some guidance - which was to eat kale a couple of times a week.

Goodness, must be really bad for us then, if we can eat it so often...

What a silly tempest in a teakettle.

I tend to ignore this kind of story, over the years there have been many warnings that we shouldn't be eating this, that or the other and sooner or later the headlines are telling us the opposite: that the health bods got it wrong & it's ok to eat them after all . People gave up eating real butter but now they say it's better for you than spreads. I like kale but wouldn't want it with every meal and can you imagine if you ate sprouts every day:meh:, all that's needed is a little common sense and a lot of veg variety, would we really eat a pound a day of anything?
