Wow! Forgot about people who are still working. Feeling a little bit lazy now. So nice to connect with many people via the internet. Love it! Happy gaming xMy days aren't actually very different from normal to be honest - I'm working from home so still busy with work between 8am and 4:30pm (software dev), but I now get nearly an hour more in bed as I don't have to commute to work (I'm glad to be avoiding the M4!).
It probably helps that I'm an introvert at heart so am happy sitting here on my own as well, also I'm a PC gamer and the gaming community chats via voice chat anyways so not much has changed there - I play with people from the UK, Europe and the US mostly so none of us have ever met at any rate.
So the happy things are that I have more gaming time (funnily enough no commute home either) for me- also virtual boardgaming with the friends I'd normally board game with every week (there is an application called Tabletop Simulator with lots of games so you can quite literally play all the boardgames you normally would with your friends - though some are a bit more tricky to control online)
Lovely! Sounds great! Those holidays will come round again and the sun is being really generous these days. I love your positive outlook xMy life isn't a great deal different apart from having to cancel or postpone our UK holidays, which we take every 6 or 7 weeks. Being retired means no stress about working that so many others have, no children in the household unless you count the dog. Lovely walk each day, husband merrily doing lots of jobs he would never have got round to previously, and when the sun is shining, plenty of time to be in the garden enjoying the birds. I am a family history buff, so am spending more time doing that and giving Ancestry.com a good hammering. Plenty of virtual contact with our daughter and her family. She only lives a mile away! More time spent chatting over the walls with neighbours, and actually saving money! (We may need it when this is all over and our taxes etc spike upwards) So I am thankful to be in a better position than many.
LOl!!! Whatever it takes.I just start heated discussions and rows with my grandson brakes up the monotony .
Same here - still working albeit at home. Had 3 Skype meetings yesterday so still spend a lot of time in meetings!I am also working remotely during office hours but it’s lovely being at home for lunch and having no commute. In my spare time I am sorting, scanning and cropping 50 years of family photos and uploading them to photo books. A job I have been meaning to do for .... well 50 years really!
