Keeping track of daily carbs

Is there such a thing as a check list of daily carbs - perhaps one I could print out off the internet? There are some things like the slice of Bergan bread I have for breakfast, and the quarter pint milk I allow myself, that are regular daily things I could write in for a start, along with the extras like a tomato with the salad in a lunchbox. I'm trying to keep to about 40gms a day - is this sensible?

Try the free MyFitnessPal app. That will calculate the macros in your food for you.

40g per day is a good starting point but the key is to test your bg before and 2 hours after meals to see what you can tolerate.

There's also an app called Cook & Count which is handy when you cook meals from scratch.

Thanks folks. Perhaps I should have mentioned I can't walk. But I'll give them both a serious try.
