ketones and a cold

hello! I've been a type one diabetic for about 6 years now. I have caught a bad head cold and have had small to moderate ketones for three days now.. my numbers are all over the places but even when they are down ketones are still up. I'n drinking tons of water. i was wondering how long, in your opinion, should I wait with ketones before going to the hospital?

what sort of levels of ketones are you seeing
if they are above 3 I would seriously think of ringing 111 for advice or getting to A&E.
