I have been checking my urine with a stick test strip as I had small to moderate amounts of Leukocytes in my urine. The dr gave me an antibiotic 'flush' which I took and afterwards the leukocytes vanished, but now they are back again. While checking for the leukocytes I noticed I had ketones in my urine. At first there were trace amounts, but this morning they were edging up to moderate amounts. I am not in nutritional ketosis anymore as the very low carb diet wasn't working for me. Now I did do the low carb diet and exercise for 9 months and it did little to reduce my blood sugars despite losing 35 lbs. I am now 122 lbs and I'm 5'6". My last Ac1 was 6.3% down from 6.7% so great but disappointing as I expected better results. I did an easy walk this morning so I cannot imagine it is due to this walk but I guess it could be. Maybe nothing, but anyone have any thoughts.
