Hello All,

I am a touch confused with Ketones, now I have read on some websites that Ketones are dangerous for diabetics who Low carb, as low carbing makes Ketones and we pass these via going for a wee.

So is this correct or have I got the wrong end of the stick.?

Please advise,

Cheers

Ketosis, is what you get when you low carb and is a natural process where the fat is burned off as you lose weight.

Don't confuse it with DKA ( Diabetic Ketoacidosis) which is a life threatening condition with high blood glucose and high Ketones present in the urine.

So what is ketosis

In simple layman's terms, what is ketosis? If on a low carb diet and ketones appear in the urine does it do any harm? Sorry completely ignorant about it all. Explanations please. Thank you
