That very thing happened to me when I had a very bad stomach bug Xmas before last - sugars were at 6ish but ketones up at 1.8. I was being phoned my hosp team every 3/4 hours and told that if they kept rising, I would need to be admitted. My blood sugars did not go over 8 the whole time. I don't claim to be any expert on this -  I'm just speaking from experience and what I've been told by my diabetes team. I use a pump so again this may be different to those using MDI.</p></blockquote><p></p>
