Hi
Just wondering if anyone has had any problems with their kidneys and if so what advice they were given. Jumping the gun Im waiting for some results, but of course then started researching!! i know everyone is differentjust thought I would ask.thank you

I've not had any issues so far, but I'll 'bump' your post up the forum so that you might get a few replies.

Last time I went to nephrology he said "your kidneys worked at 70% last year, now 40%".
Most important thing for me is controlling bp and diabetes. I'm scared of going on dialysis, always wondering when it will be.....

Doesn't help you much sorry, all I can say is keep your blood sugar under control as best you can

At my recent clinic appointment my eGFR was taken and I had never seen this before..........

the result displayed on there lab sheet was >59ml/min, which is normal as anything above 59 is displayed as above 59.............the website I use to check results only displayed 59ml/min, which after a Google sent me into panic, was OK though...........

that's my experience.......

are you getting an real measure of the kidney function.......?

Thank you I had already done this when when diagnosed T2. Very helpful as I wondered what they may do meds etc. appreciate your comment.

Im new to all the different stages and probs that arise, and am also too confused, but appreciate your advice and comments.

thanks for your reply you are further ahead than me, just testing now will know next week, google is a wonderful and scary thing.
