Kinetic blood glucose monitor giving random readings

I am trying to do 2 hourly readings of my blood glucose and I have the kinetic well being blood glucose monitor.
The monitor is giving random readings. For example this morning I tested 3.8 and then a minute later I take another reading to confirm and it's saying 7.5
I bought a fresh tub of glucose test strips and I'm really not sure what the problem is?

If this difference happened only once, it's likely there was some residual sweetness on your finger, or your finger wasn't completely dry before testing.
I'd compare some more tests.
