The peripheral scrape has healed OK but there was a gouge in the middle that has not healed.It was quite deep , I initially had to cut away dead skin and have been dressing with antiseptic cream since, It is slowly ‘filling out’ but is still wet it scabs over from time to time but never ‘dries out’.Sorry for the messy details. But anyway, how long should I leave this before I seek help? Does anyone have any home remedies that might help it heal?Everything I’ve read says that a wound like that should heal in 2 weeks but I imagine my diabetes is why it’s taking longer.When diagnosed last year I imagined that I’d caught it early enough to avoid any related damage but apparently not.</blockquote>
