lactase levels and Metformin?

Has anyone on forum had trouble with lactase bloods levels going too high due to metformin.

Duckyhenny - I've never taken any medication, so I haven't personally. I have a sneaking feeling @andcol had this, but I may have mis-remembered so, hopefully, he'll be on at some stage to comment.
 
are your veins on fire? Mine were and the only thing that helped was hard exercise to get the heart to burn it up but that never worked for long. I was taken off them immediately and in 12 hours all the burning had gone. Hope it isnt too bad for you.
 
Would this be the same/similar to lactic acidosis?
 
Yes that was what it was lactic acidosis. I was taken off the metformin straight away and put on insulin . It seems to have settled down again. although yesterday the symptoms were back and I felt really unwell.
