I've noticed recently a few signs of lactose inrolerance I was wondering if this was common with diabetics, I know there is a link but I don't really understand it....?

Hi toner,
It is essential to get a diagnosis that you are lactose intolerant as the symptoms may be related to other health issues.
This article explains in detail all about the condition and other possibilities. It also describes tests needed to confirm that you are lactose intolerant,

Hope this helps,

Catherine.

Hi toner,

Further to Catherine's reply, it does seem that more people than ever before are lactose intolerant, hence lactose-free milk and other dairy products being so readily available in most supermarkets these days. Why not buy a carton or two and try it for a week. If your symptoms reduce (or disappear) then you will know the answer. But also seek your GP's advice, especially if your symptoms don't reduce on lactose-free milk.
