Type of diabetes
LADA
Treatment type
Insulin
Hello I’ve been diabetic since 2019 type 1.5
I will be away working this weekend and not able to inject Tresiba at night until around 2 am. Should I try to inject earlier.
I’m on Novorapid in the day and 6 units Tresiba as I go to bed normally 11-11.30 pm
Thankyou

Hi @GuidingSenses i don’t have experience of using insulin my self, but I’ll tag in @Antje77 who has LADA and I’m pretty sure uses Tresiba, hopefully they will drop by with their experiences.

Hi @GuidingSenses I too am on Tresiba and it is a pretty forgiving insulin, as it remains in the system for a couple of days. Which is why when you make dosage changes it takes a while to see the effect. In view of that I personally feel a three hour difference with injections over the weekend will have little impact.

Thankyou that’s helpful to know

I use Trujeo long lasting it takes 6 hours to get into system and you jabe a 3 hour winow area so should#nt be a problem.
I am just type 2 not Lada though

I missed an injection of Tresiba entirely once when travelling (oops)... didn't appear to have a material effect. As Antje says it's very forgiving. Just switched to Trujeo a couple of weeks ago as I was questioning with my doc whether it's too slow for me, so trying it out..
