Ladies. Protein Intake and Lower Bone Density.

An interesting study about the effects of higher protein intake on postmenopausal women who needed to lose weight.
It would seem that high protein reduced weight but can cause lower bone density putting you at risk of osteoporosis.

"Each individual needs to evaluate or consult with a dietitian about how to achieve and sustain a healthy body weight and body composition including muscle and bone".

Hope they do another study on high protein diets on women who are of normal weight or underweight.
