Diet drinks - the artificial sweeteners taste vile.
Having to forswear foods I have loved all my life.
Trying to find low carb meals when eating out.
I have been given a Freestyle Freedom Light test meter which came with 10 lancets and 10 test strips.

I also have a supply on prescription of 50 test strips and 200 lancets.

Now the test strips are Freestyle Lite but the lancets are Freestyle.
The lancets are grey instead of blue and the picture of the spring loaded stabber on the side of the box is (slightly) different as well.
The box also says that the lancets are "25 gauge".
The pharmacists label says 0.5mm/25 gauge.
They fit in the springy stabber O.K. but the needle looks suspiciously thicker.
I did have a couple of problems drawing blood with the original lancets, especially on the side of my fingers, but it was nearly painless.
First try with the grey lancet got an 'ouch' and lots of blood.
Being naturally suspicious I now wonder if the needles are slightly different as well as being mounted in different shaped and coloured plastic.

I Googled for FreeStyle Lite lancets but didn't find any reference - just a reference to the FreeStyle
lancets which "fitted a range of devices".

I am now wondering if there are different thicknesses of needles and I have been prescribed the more chunky version.

So; what size is yours?

Cheers

I have two sizes of lancets. One is Unilet GP which is 21G 0.81mm.
The other fits the one touch lance and is 28G 0.375mm

You could phone Abbott and ask. They are good at answering questions. the number is on their web site (Abbott Diabetes Care)
