Hell, I've been watching this forum for a while.
I am a type 2 diabetic, having been diagnosed in 2009 - I also have PCOS which can cause problems with blood sugar anyways.
I recently started Lantus & I am currently trying to tritrate the dosage, upping by 1unit per night until I achieve a reading of 7 in the morning, as my usual readings are anywhere between 9 & 25.
My doctor suggested ages ago to not eat after a specific time & has reiterated that advice even though I now inject Lantus (Solostar) so most days I do not eat anything after 5.30pm/6pm (I work until 10pm almost everyday) but I am finding that even with a slight dip in my glucose levels I am waking up even more tired, very sore & stiff (I also have neuropathy & take pregabalin which is generic lyrica to help with that) & feeling incredibly hungry.
I am unsure what to do with my readings being around the 13 mark, do I eat, or just drink water to try to bring it down so I can eat?
Or just eat anyways but mostly protein?
Also, is anyone else on this combination of medications? I take 100mg of Januvia, 2000mg of Glumetza & the Lantus Solostar. (I am waiting to see an Endocrinologist as I also have hypothyroidism)
