At 35C I highly doubt it is okay anymore, I store my insulin in the door shelf of the refrigerator. Generally, Lantus should drop you by no more than 40 points, mine drops me around 80 points but I am happy with it. I don't find it a big issue "personally" to sleep at 180 mg/dL and wake up at 70-80 mg/dL range but that is just me. We are all different so it is a bit of trial and error, let's see what others have to say. One last note, have you tried testing after 2 hours of injecting Lantus? I found out that Lantus drops me after about 4 hours so after 2 hours, if there is a drop, it is either caused by Lantus (being spoiled from 35C, high dose) or by remaining bolus from last meal if any.
Regardless of dose, Lantus will last up to 20 hours as maximum. For me it is 19 hours. I think you should reduce 1 unit and see how it goes if that drop is causing you all the trouble. Consider it.Hi, yeah I noticed that it drop me after 2 hours of injecting, the dose right now is 14 and that ok i think my weight is 42 a and iv been on 25unit when i was on insultard.. and when I reduce it last week to 12unit i found that it didnt last for more than 18 hours in my body

Sure that's what I do. Or I simply get my dinner earlierHow are you dealing with your BG after that 19hours? did you take any snack with novorapid to cover up the rising?
I think you mean from Lantus to pumpTypically, the Lantus lasts between 20 and 26 hours at full strength.
For me this was about 24 hours.
However, I believe low levels of Lantus remain for up to 4 days. I noticed this when I went from Lantus to pen.
Therefore, when changing the dose, it will need at least 2 days to "bed in"
But remember, we are all different. Only you know how each insulin works for you.
Another thing to consider is a basal test. Long acting insulin should keep you at a steady bg. If you can fast for 8 hours at a time, you can observe what happens to your bg when it has no carbs yo raise it or bolus insulin to drop it.
Why not try splitting the dose by taking less at night and more during the day?
do you mean spilt it 50/50? or 70/30?
so will I face any overlap between the two doses?
