Sanofi SA said new data show its diabetes drug Lantus was more efficient than other forms of care for reaching certain glycemic levels in patients.... the drug was three times more likely to reach and maintain glycemic targets than standard care, the company said in a statement.

That's almost funny if it wasn't so sad.

Results from the company's ORIGIN trial, which focused on care of patients with pre-diabetes or early type 2 diabetes and were presented at the annual meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes, showed that the drug was three times more likely to reach and maintain glycemic targets than standard care, the company said in a statement.

Surely if blood tests showed you were pre diabetic (you is either diabetic or you is not same as pregnant) or just starting life with type 2 diabetes then surely any insulin would show fantastic results?
Also surely taking a damned good look at what goes in your mouth would be just as beneficial
But oh look guess who the research is from lol.
