I wondered recently my daughter has been on the rise not sure if it's the end of honeymoon approaching or just a little adjustment. We will see anyway we have increased a few doses and slowly creeping them down with the help of increasing lantus after waking high.
So Inwod like to know how how does your lantus work exactly so let's say you went to bed on 8-11mmol if there is a rise 5hours after your last nuvo rapid would you expect this? And by how many mmol, or does this indicate not enough basal. Then what would you expect to see at night time and early hours.
I have come to the point where I feel I don't want to have to push my daughter up to the teens to get through the night as advised to begin with and think she could go to bed slightly lower and my nurses are in agreement but just wondered what sort of profile you guys lookin at through the night? Don't worry I always consult with my team first but I would like to hear your views thank you x

I am awaiting the Freestyle Libre to be delivered on 5th May. I need the overnight readings as I am going to bed most nights on readings of 5.5-6mmol/l and waking with 7-7.5mmol/l. Done a few 3am tests and they seem ok but cant wait to see what my bloods are really doing overnight

We just put another libre on and at night she seems to be ok and just a gentle drop but certainly not flat so giving me the confidence to try and her lower in the day and tweek her morning ratio. With intention of being lower by night time. Although seeing the breakfast spike this morning on the libre is horrifying! Even with injecting before breakfasts but I don't think her ratio is quite right there either.
Let me know how you get on.
