You really should be seeing a hospital consultant if you aren't already, it is your right. I know it's hard to be pushy and fight for these things, when your worn out battling your diabetes everyday, but if you go armed with as much info as you can,(print info off the net) your GP will hopefully realise he's out of his depth, and refer you to a Diabetes Specialist. He can be as stubborn as he likes, but he'll have to give you a very good reason not to refer you.
