hi every one my name is sylvia maria .
iam on lantus only the first week but 16 years of hell and no one knew i have diabetes , iam also on tablets with the lantus so far 18 units , going up every few days but after reading about lantus ,iam worried i thought i had solved my problems but sounds like a bigger one has started can any one tell me any thing good about it i really do feel so well at the moment .

i left a post message yesterday, asking if any one could tell me some thing good about lantus insulin ?
as iam on it at the moment and feel so much better , but after reading about it and the post mail messages , i was very worried , so no one can tell me any thing good about lantus, can any one tell me how bad the side effects can be , although i realise it can differ from person to person .

sorry i don't know anything about lantus but i just wanted to pop by and say hello and keep trying - it may be that you need to be in the forum about medication and so forth, it a bit lower down on the board, just a thought
anyway hope you get a reply soon

Glad to hear that you feel so well at the moment, that is really good and probably means that you shouldn't be worrying just now. 8)

I can't help you with your query as I am T2 on diet and exercise but hopefully someone will be along soon who can. :)

I'm not on lantus so cant help with it. What I can say is, for ever one person that has a bad reaction to lantus there will be hundreds who are fine and doing well. When I here people with problems about medication I see it as an advisary note. This or that has a very slight chance of happening but it probably wont. Dont worry about these stories but be aware.

Please don’t worry – for every one user of Lantus Insulin who has problems with it there is one happy user just the same as with every animal insulin & human synthetic insulin user.

Lantus features heavily on this forum because many Type 1 diabetics were placed on it when it first became available in the UK - it arrived in a blaze of glory & was hailed as away of revolutionizing diabetes control.

The reason why so many post on this forum having difficulties using Lantus is because health professionals have been slow to recognise & accept hat this analogue insulin is not suitable for everyone to use and users are suffering debilitating side effects but not realising / linking it to the insulin they are using.

If you feel well then please please don’t worry – its good to hear after 16 years of hell you are feeling much better.

I've had diabetes for 16 years, been on Lantus for ages, 4yrs +.

I'm a mother of one, i sled with my dog, go skiing when i can and spend most of my time at gigs with my friends. I've never had any problems with it, just like most people on it.
It doesn't agree with everyone, but nothing does, not even asprin.

The worry wil be worse ;) Hope you feel better soon.
