I have recently been diagnosed with the above reflux problem, according to the consultant it’s common in diabetics, I’m type 1.
It is causing me sleepless nights due to constant coughing, just wondered if any one else has the same problem?
Only thing I have been prescribed is Gaviscon Advance to help with the reflux.
If anyone has the problem do you have any suggestions to help?

Many thanks

Joy

I too have this and have been prescribed with Omeprazole. This helps but I also found that eating "heavy carbs" aggravates it, i.e. chips, anything with a powder coating, like crisps. jacket potatoes. That's just me. See if anything you eat starts off the cough, and perhaps consult your GP. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Things I do:
try not to eat late at night
drink warm milk or mint tea at bedtime
sleep with an extra pillow so my head is higher than my stomach.
