Had a few Hypoglycemia attacks over the years without knowing what they were.
Usually, after exercise, I got the shakey weak feeling; once I had something to eat I was ok after about 20 minutes.
Asked my doctor could I be diabetic? After a blood test, I was given the all clear.
It didn't happen all the time just now and again; as I suffer from Anxiety I put it down to some kind of mild panic attack.
Now some 10 years later I have been diagnosed with type 2.
I am trying the fasting method at present; just two weeks into it.
Trying to keep to low carb food as much as I can.
Just on a learning curve really, reading Fong's book about fasting and crossing my fingers that I can get back to a normal life sometime in the future.
Pretty sure its hypo; had it for years, and the symptoms fit the description.Hi, and welcome to the forum
Do you have a monitor?
How do you know you are having hypos?
Did you notice any particular foods that you felt weird after eating?
What was your latest hba1c?
What meds are you on, if any?
Sorry for the questions, but it might help us understand the panic attacks and anxiety.
Best wishes.
Hi, I'm new here too. I'm not diabetic, but I AM a reactive hypoglycemic. I have some advice regarding your anxiety.
I find that once my blood sugar starts to drop, I get angry, annoyed, irritable, my skin gets hot, I get anxious and my heart does these crazy palpitations that sometimes lead to bronchial spasms for me. It's kind of an annoyance, but these mood swings very well could be related to the hypoglycemia. Keep it under control and it'll be easier to feel less anxious.

Got a monitor a couple of days ago. readings have been 5.8 when tested about 18 hours into a 24 hour fast, up to 9.8
on another day.
Not felt weird after eating food.
Not on any meds for diabetis yet.
Have you tested and recorded a hypo reading?
Any details of when it happened?
You must be aware of the rebound effect of how you treat a hypo.
If you spike quickly like me, too much carbs will send you hyper.
You can see how quickly your blood glucose responds by testing fifteen minutes after you have your banana and biscuits. You might not need that much.
Your brain is telling you it likes being higher than normal blood levels hence the symptoms. Best wishes
